Abstract:Management, human resources, and performance issues of joint venturing are addressed.Joint ventures are defined as a transitional form of management,an intermediate step on the way to something else. Attention is called to the importance to select the right people on the venture's board of directors. Personnel rotation is considered helpful to make day-to-day operations of the venture run smoothly. Review points to reporting mechanisms are suggested. Reflexions are made on joint-venture management style, and on evaluating joint-venture performance.
