| Abstract: | In 1980 Schuler proposed a role and expectancy perception model to explain how employee participation in decision making might influence job satisfaction. This model was tested using a path analytic approach. The analyses aimed to shed light on some unexamined questions including direct and indirect effects of pdm on satisfaction, the relative importance of the intervening variables, and relationship of an organizational and an individual variable to the simple process model. |
