Abstract:Quality circles are more than a technique. They are namely a modern and versatile management aid which, through the employees' active participation, helps to achieve important technological, economic and cultural improvements in numerous areas. If a company really appreciates this instrument, valuable impulses can be created for the advancement of personnel and the development of managerial staff as well as for flexibility and motivation. Some tangible and intangible benefits are mentioned. The role of management training in quality circle team building is emphasized. Seven crucial questions concerning the introduction of quality circles are addressed.
