| Abstract: | The announcement that Tanzania has at last gained the approval of the IMF is tempting international donors and foreign investors back into the country almost four years after many turned their backs on its pervasive level of corruption, as Maja Wallengren writes. After four years of tough negotiations between Tanzania and the IMF, the East African country has finally been given the green light in the shape of a formally approved new enhanced structural adjustment facility (ESAF) loan worth $234m. |
