Abstract: | This paper aims to present a guiding integrative framework (hereafter as: f-w.) for knowledge management (KM) encompassing a fusion process for creating new knowledge (here as: knw.) and technological innovations. It also seeks to propose a method for applying the f-w. in a managerial decision making (as: m-d-m.) process. The framework, called the 'knowledge fusion process', is presented as an organizational learning cycle encompassing sub-processes. The Analytic Hierarchy Process is proposed as one method to apply the f-w. for m-d-m. in an operational context. The f-w. includes the premise that the most competitive organizations are those being able to learn to learn, that is, to incorporate learning processes, incl. knw. creation, into everyday operations and management. |
