Abstract: | Companies must learn to maximize the possibilities of all strategies capable of preserving their competitiveness. In this regard, it is no longer possible to ignore the determinant importance of personnel management. It is shown, that much work needs to be done in this area, especially in medium sized companies. Drawing on the results of a survey done in Germany involving about 60 of these firms, a number of proposals are offered relating to training, qualification and providing information to individuals in order to improve coordination of human and economic objectives. It is emphasized that just those companies which attach great importance to economic objectives recognize the necessivity of personnel development. |
