Abstract:Effective cost management demands effective communication. The purpose of a communication program is to influence people - how they think and how they act. The way to influence people is through effective communication. An effective communication program can be costly. Therefore, public relations firms must carefully monitor this expense. A company attempting to achieve significant cost reduction is a company in upheaval. Effective employee communication can help to accomplish the necessary trasnformation as smoothly and painlessly as possible. The examples of two firms are shown.
