Abstract:This article deals with the role of social enterprise (hereafter as: soc-entpr.) in relation to economic and social values. The meaning of soc-entpr. covers potentially everything from non-profit organizations, through foundations and charities to co-operative and mutual societies. The key distinguishing feature of a soc-entpr. is their social aims and social ownership combined with trading viability.
