Abstract: | Principal components analysis (PCA) is a very useful dimensionality reduction technique. Difficulties can arise in using component scores in subsequent analyses when the individuals making up the sample are not homogeneous. PCA explicitly assumes that sample of individuals is homogeneous. The implications of group structure are considered. |
