Abstract:The study investigates the special features of the international clothing business and aspects of the global economy in general to discover if and how they influence the corporate social responsibility(CSR) potential. Based on multiple empirical studies of clothing business, the author identifies six aspects that indicate high potential for CSR. Furthermore, the findings suggest that the CSR potential for international clothing business is apparently not only based on sector specific properties, but also on systemic and general features of the global economy.
