Abstract: | Preparation of this paper was supported by the Stanford Graduate School of Business. Many sociologists believe that the influence of economics on sociology has escalated precipitously. Sociologists observe - some with excitement, others with trepidation - that economists are attending more to sociological concerns, even winning Nobel prizes for doing so. Sociologists also increasingly use rubrics such as economic sociology, sociology of markets and etc. to describe their work. |
