Abstract:There has been a resurgence of immigration in the United States and in many other countries. The impact of immigration on the host economy is now being debated heatedly in many countries. The political discussion is centered around these substantive questions: First, how do immigrants perform in the host country's economy? Second, what impact do immigrants have on the employment opportunities of natives? Finally, which immigration policy most benefits the host country?
