| Abstract: | The Society of the German Tenants established that nearly half of the operating costs that landlords pass on to the tenants are falsely calculated. As a consequence, a lot of landlords and tenants are at loggerheads with each other. As a solution to this situation, it is suggested that landlords should fix every collateral cost in the contract if it is legal. The calculation of these costs and the control of it are advantageous for the tenant too, because he does not have to pay everything what the landlord requires. A list of collateral costs which must be met by tenants is presented. |
