Abstract: | In his final article, Robert Corfe draws together the threads of his argument that we cannot rebuild a sound economy without constructing a productive capitalist system. He lists the changes or reforms that will be required. First, there is the need to set up a system or an institution whereby investments in exclusively UK-based activities may be specifically identified. Within this category, primary and secondary industries should be distinguished from service-sector activities, as potentially contributing more effectively to national wealth creation and a better balance of payments. |
