Abstract: | In his fourth article on industrial regeneration, Robert Corfe reckons that fiscal policies only tinker with the money supply and, at best, create an 'overheating' of the economy, which means the sucking-in of imports. Only structural measures can be hoped to regenerate productivity. These entail identifying UK-based productive activities and separating them for investment purposes from all other business activities, so that the former can be promoted effectively. |
