Abstract:This is the text of a lecture by CEO of PRO7, a private TV channel given at the 6. German TV Publicity Workshop held on 8. ll. 1991 in Hamburg. The author complains about the obstacles hindering the development of private TV: slow licencing of frequency, low level of transmission network (both cable and satellite). Nevertheless he forecasts a spectacular future for German private TV (at least for the three largest companies).
