Abstract:The features of China's using foreign direct investment are that the Taiwan-funded and foreign-funded enterprises has increased sharply and the foreign businessmen have taken the coastal areas as the main places for their investment. In the 1990s the provinces in the hinterland began to absorb more foreign direct investment. But the problems are that the average investment scale is relatively small, the technological level is not desirable , the industry structure needs to be optimized, the invested areas are too centralized and there are some contradictions between the national enterprise and the foreign-funded enterprise in export market. The methods to solve those problems are to adjust the direction of the policies and to improve the macro management.
