| Abstract: | From the viewpoint of practice and evolution, Renminbi is not based on gold standard system. paper money develops in three stages: the stage of gold exchange , inconvertible-with -gold stage, and the independent stage from gold. Paper money divorced from gold is the higher form of money than that based on gold standard system. |
