| Abstract: | The analysis of the development of the German economy and the working hours performed by German employees serve as a background in an attempt to answer the question of whether can the reduction of working hours preventy the increase of unemploment or not Although the author answers in the affirmative, he states that crucial conditions must be met in this measure may be not counter-productive as to the order that employment. This measure is counter-productive if it leads to the increase of wage and capital costs per piece. There are a lot of models that meet the requirements of cost neutrality. |
