| Abstract: | Research on new small business in Bulgaria provides some interesting findings and trends leading to a number of policy recommendations and needs as described in this short article. Bulgaria is a country in the process of transition from a centrally planned to market-oriented economy. The situation is characterised by the very low pace of the privatisation process, lack of substantial governmental support for the emerging new private businesses and a low level of foreogn investment. |
