Abstract:Directors, partners, individuals with high net worth or with several policies to rationalise could all benefit from the flexibility and control of a self-invested personal pension. In theory, a substantial number of SIPPs could have been expected to have been marketed by insurers over recent years because of the obvious attractions of policyholdrs being able to monitor the underlying investment fund of their pension schemes, the author claims.
