Abstract:There is no denying that semiotics has had an impact on both practice and theory of law. Peter Goodrich in 'Legal Discourse', l987, comes to grips with the social and political reality of law. He both adds to the encyclopedia of signs by asserting that legal discourse is a sign for domination, and offers a postmodern theory of how sign is produced.
