| Abstract: | In film the viewer makes inferences in addition to attributions. It is this approach that the author considers most relevant in his search for a common theory of narration and film. One of the conclusions he arrives at is that displayed narrative communication is oriented towards specific codes and yet remains an organic part of human activity aimed at obtaining personal significance. |
