| Abstract: | The future development and growth of a small country like Slovenia largely depend on the competitive position of Slovene firms in the international environment. The major role in the process must be assumed by the firms themselves by means of internal restructuring.At the same time this process should be facilitated by the government which must provide assistance and support by using appropriate instruments of economic policy.Such support must be directed toward those sectors of industry that have proved their competitive potential. |
