| Abstract: | The objective of this study is to devise a material issuance and control system alternative to the kitting system that supplies parts directly to the using workstation, does not increase the material handling labor, reduces work-in-process (WIP) inventory, decreases the total product makespan time, and allows satisfaction of the part traceability requirement without kits. |
