| Abstract: | How do managers make pay allocation decisions? Why do subordinates with the same level of performance get different merit increases? This study seeks to advance the understanding of managerial pay allocations by attempting to verify an integrative model of previously hypotheses, investigating whether statistical artifacts can account for individual difference in pay allocations , and testing the extent to which managers were of the decision model they actually used when making pay allocation decisions. |
