Abstract: | Turkey has bounced back from its foreign exchange crisis and borrowers are keen to tap foreign markets. But a pulled deal makes it harder to tempt back investors. Jim Bodgener reports. After eight months of exile from the markets, Turkish issuers are looking to borrow again. There is a fragile stability in the domestic markets, after the trauma of the first half of the year, when the lira fell almost 40% against the dollar. What the borrowers need now is a benchmark sovereign deal that will lift foreigners' confidence in Turkey's recovery. |
