| Abstract: | The papers in this issue attempt to examine quantitatively the effect of the liberalization of trade and FDI on productivity. The focus on productivity stems from an observation that productivity is a crucial factor leading to sustainable economic growth. Even without an increase in the use of inputs such as labour, capital, or intermediate inputs, production and thus the economy will grow with the increase of productivity. |
