Abstract: | Geoffrey Garrett now agrees with most of what the authors set out to prove in their original article. First, they all now concur on the significance of the phenomenon under study. Garrett originally described the European Community legal system as the straightforward implementation of member state wishes. He now acknowledges that we have witnessed the construction of a "remarkable legal system", one not foreseen by the signatories to the Treaty of Rome. |
