Abstract: | Companies are increasingly tapping the computer science resources of the Third World. Tony Gandy reports. Banking is driven by technology, and software and programming staff are becoming a significant factor in the cost structure of banks. Banks need to be able to offer customers the best possible service using new technologies, but must also stay cost-competitive. For smaller banks and for the standard operations of large banks, buying packaged software has been seen as the answer to keeping costs under control. |
