Abstract:The income of an economic entity is determined by its supplies of resources and the efficiency with which it utilizes those resources. While economists tend to emphasize the impact of economic variables on resource supplies and utilization, both are largely influenced by the institutional environment in which economic activity takes place. Religion plays no small role in the creation and implementation of both private institutions and public institutions.
