| Abstract: | This survey helps plot the growth and the coming trends in the shipping industry into the 21st century. The licensed transportation brokerage business has experienced phenomenal growth during the past two decades. Many articles have addressed the pros and cons of using third parties in the transportation business. Others have examined the size and attributes of transportation brokers. To address the future of the industry, the authors conducted a survey of transportation brokers. |
