| Abstract: | Along with the procedure of adjustment of Slovenian statistics to the international standards the number of researches has been widened.The methods, definitions and ways of gathering statistical information about the number and structure of the employed, unemployed and other segments of active population have also been changed and completed.We have added to the earlier research ZAP-M (RAD-1) the estimation of active population by the method of national accounts (ESA) and the estimation of the number and different structures of active population by the international method of surveying the labour force.The article presents a concise, critical survey of methods and sources of the three above mentioned statistical researches. At the end of the article we present a possible method of estimation of active population which has been used by the Institute of Macroeconomic Analyses and Development for the quantitative estimations in this year's Autumn Report.In connection with the available statistical data this method enables us the estimation of the further development of different segments of active population. |
