| Abstract: | Japanese companies are organized according to the principles of horizontal coordination. These principles request a particular shape of the companies's internal labour markets. In our analysis, important aspects of the incentive scheme and hierarchy of japanese enterprises will be discussed from a microeconomic perspective. Thereby, arguments borrowed from New Institutional Economics and recent labour market approaches gave us interesting insights and let us draw some surprising conclusions. |
