Abstract:China's success in progressive reform is a challenge to modern economics. The basic reasons for china's success are: the favorable initial conditions, the special historical and cultural tradition, spontaneous and conscious reforms, pushing forward reform locally and making changes wholly, reforming within system and pushing reform forward by the force outside system, economic liberalization and good order in the government, and the organic combination of reform and development. China's special national situation has contributed to its success in progressive reform. But Its success also has, to a certain extent, universal significance.
