| Abstract: | The central and western areas should enjoy various preferential policies including tax policy in order to accelerate their development. When such policies are formulated, attention should be paid to the following: The object enjoying such policies should be all enterprises in different economic sectors. The labour-intensive enterprises calling for small investment and yielding quick returns may enjoy the policy of income tax reduction or exemption. For the invested projects calling for large investment, long cycle and yielding slow returns, the measures like cutting the tariff of imported equipments may be taken. Besides, economic and technological development zones, based on local cities with wide radiating range and great influence may be established in a bid to bring along the whole areas development. |
