| Abstract: | The night before Malaysia Electric Corp.'s official launch, its president, Teong Teck Leng, was asked whether he thought Kuala Lumpur would provide incentives to the firm. Teong clearly though so. "I think you should wait for tomorrow," he replied cheerfully. "The prime minister may make an announcement." Prime Minister Mahathir Mohamad did make an announcement the following day, but it may not have been what Teong had in his mind. |
