Abstract:A new measurement tool called corporate scorehand can help companies in navigating through a hostile business universe. It is a sophisticated business model that helps a company understand what's really driving it's success. According to a recent study 64% of U.S. companies are experimenting with some sort of performance measurement system. Now there are two schools of thought when measuring company performance: the ones who want to use mostly financial measurements and those who think that also softer stuff should be measured, processes like the time it takes to get a new product to market and employee satisfaction. Which approach is righ depends upon what the company is wrestling with. The real value of any model is that it forces to reexamine assumptions about what in business really drives performance.
