| Abstract: | China has already established 13 bonded areas including Tianjin port, Dalian, Guangzhou and Haikou. Their ultimate development target is expected to imitate the models of reform and opening up, adopted by various countries in the world, featuring a free port attached to a port or free trade zones, established in the coastal and border areas and the areas along river. Therefore, we should give the bonded areas special policies in order to make them open wider to the outside world and benefit the development of a free port and free trade zones, and create an operational environment in conformity with the international practice. In terms of finance, the bonded areas should be allowed to introduce foreign banks before other areas, the exchange rates not be controlled and free convertibility of various currencies realised. |
