| Abstract: | In the past MRP and MRP-II were associated exclusively with mainframes and minicomputers. This trend has been changing, however, since the mid 1980's with the introduction of PC-based manufacturing applications. These new, PC-based programms are fullfledged, powerful MRP implementations, offering nearly all of the features found on their mainframe counterparts. They deliver solid and dependable methodology to an affordable and flexible platform. |
