| Abstract: | The problem of unemployment is constantly strived to get resolved by governments and social partners. One possible solution would be the redistribution of work, through the reorganization of working time, that is, worksharing. In this article, the first part of the survey, worksharing is defined and the debate at European level and also in individual countries is reviewed. |
