| Abstract: | The adjustment and reform of China's foreign aid work have undergone three stages. The period from 1979 to 1990 was the stage of exploratory reform and adjustment. From 1991 to 1994, China's roeign aid work centred round helping recipient countries to develop medium-and small-sized projects which both catered to the local need and there were available resources for and it also combined with the development of bilateral and multilateral economic and trade relationships for mutual benefit and cooperation with a view of the common development of China and recipient countries. In 1995, China's foreign aid work began to enter the stage of comprehensive reform. In this stage, China has provided a large amount of material aid and trained large numbers of technicians. |
