| Abstract: | In view of the fact that the growth rate of energy consumption is lower than that of GDP in China during the period of transformation, this paper mainly analyzes several major factors influencing energy demand and points out that the factors for reducing energy consumption have been ineffective and China will still face energy supply-demand contradiction. To settle it, it raises the following policy measures: making great efforts to promote technological progress; encouraging enterprises' behaviour for saving energy by using the economic lever comprehensively; changing the structures of production and supply of energy, based on changing the structure of energy consumption. |
