| Abstract: | This article briefly reviews the historical development of enterprise theory in western countries and expounds the content of the research on modern enterprise theories such as contract theory, entrepreneur theory and manager theory. It is believed that, in the process of development and economic reform in China, the main content of the research on enterprise theory should be the follows:(1) research on the activity of social groups such as managers, shareholders, staff and workers, consumers and government, and on the interrelations among them; (2)research on the operation system of enterprises; (3) research on the internal paying and incentive system enterprises; (4) research on the relation of entrusted agency in China's enterprises; (5) research on the relation between enterprises and government; and so on. |
