Abstract:The authors' purpose in this paper is twofold: first, they will prove two theorems. They will show that (1) when two countries start from common initial conditions, the one with the higher elasticity of substitution will always experience, other things being equal, a higher income per head; (2) any equilibrium values of capital-labor and income per head are increasing functions of o. The second objective is to make a number of suggestions.
