| Abstract: | In this paper, the authors examine the applicability of Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) data as a valid indicator for TNC activities by reviewing the major data sources and by analyzing in detail practical and methodological problems that emerge in the course of data collection procedures. The authors show which kind of deficiencies are at work and how they can be reduced to strengthen the comparability of the data and the predictability of the indicator function. |
