Abstract:It has previously been shown that the in the effectiveness of whistleblowing the most productive way to solve moral conflicts in the organization is to handle them internally. Nevertheless, internal handling of a moral conflict is not always an option. This paper focuses on the moral character of the whistleblower, and on the process that follows the decision to go public. The authors' concern is the transition from whistleblowing to public debate.
