Abstract: | This article reviews developments (henceforth as: devs.) in European Union employment policy from the perspective of reflexive (here as: refl.) governance. Recent devs. in relation to EU directives related to e.g. employment and working time highlight some of the prospects and limitations of the refl. approach to regulating employment relations, and the potential impact on the U.K. labour market. These devs. indicate that the hopes invested in the refl. approach remain to be fulfilled. |
