| Abstract: | This article examines the state of corporate governance in professional football clubs. The authors present the results from their annual survey of English football clubs and analyse corporate governance statements published by listed clubs. Based on the findings, the authors make a number of recommendations for how corporate governance in professional football clubs can be improved in the future. |
