Abstract: | The article focuses on the challenge of building an inclusive diversity culture showing that such a culture of inclusion (hereafter as: c. - for 'inclusion' as: i.) must be built on solid moral grounds. A conceptual framework of i. is presented based on a moral theory of recognition. Introduced are the founding principles of reciprocal understanding, standpoint plurality and mutual enabling, trust and integrity. After revealing barriers hindering a c. from emerging, light is shed on the process of developing such a c. involving four transformational stages: 1. raising awareness, building understanding and encouraging reflection, 2. developing of a vision of i. 3. re-thinking key management concepts and principles. This leads to the fourth, action-oriented phase focusing on an integrated Human Relations Management (HRM) system. |
